British Honduras SG217 1c SELF GOVERNMENT OVERPRINT OFFSET SET U/M
A primary offset of the overprint Self Government 1964 on the gum side with the full ink intensity of the normal overprint. This variety is due to a sheet failing to advance during the overprinting resulting in the fully inked type coming in contact with the bed of the press instead of a sheet of stamps. This stamp with the primary Offset is from sheet 429. Also shown is the stamp from the immediate previous sheet (no 430) and from the four subsequent sheets (no 428/425) which shows the gradually fading of the offset before the return to normal. All U/M

M/M (mounted mint) is Hinged Mint.
