Superb example of the 1890 Harry Furniss pastiche of the official Penny Post Jubilee envelope and card.

Furniss was a prominent cartoonist, illustrator and satirist. Here he used the occasion of the Penny Post Jubilee to comment on the plight of British postal workers who went on strike that year.

10,000 of these were printed in blue along with a much smaller number printed in black which were signed by Furniss. Find one in black and you’re doing well!
