Sent from GEORGE & CM PALMER ‘coal fitters and shipping brokers’. George was a former whaling boat captain turned ship owner, and his son Charles Mark Palmer would later go on to found the shipbuilding concern Palmer Bros & Co which kickstarted the shipbuilding tradition in Jarrow.

Very scarce cover. Sadly stamp has faults at top. But still a very collectible example. CV for fault free £1000.
